I highly recommend Sandra Mannion as a dog trainer, not only because of her skill in working with dogs, but also because of her sensitivity in working with their owners. I contacted Sandra when my two year old Golden Retriever became aggressive toward other male dogs. Sandra focused first on making sure that Marty had a good working knowledge of basic commands and then gently took me through learning how to correct Marty's behavior.

I appreciated especially Sandra's care about not overcorrecting behavior, but being aware of maintaining the dog's basic happy and exuberant demeanor while teaching him how to behave. Sandra has the wonderful combination of people skills and a vast knowledge of dog behavior on which to draw. She was a delight to work with and I can now happily walk my dog Marty without worrying about his behavior when he encounters another male dog on our route.
